Submitting to upstreet

upstreet number eighteen (our final issue) was released in December 2022!

Legacy guidelines:

• upstreet does not consider unsolicited poetry submissions. Only poems submitted by invitation will be read.
• Work whose theme or topic is political, or which contains partisan political references, will not be considered.
• Please do not submit previously published works, or more than two fiction and two nonfiction pieces per issue.
• Fiction and nonfiction pieces must be 5,000 words or less.
• Payment, upon publication, will be between $50 and $250 for short stories or essays. Each author will also receive two complimentary copies, and may purchase more at a reduced rate.
